Emeka Etufugh, MD
SPECIALTY: Pathology, Anatomical/Clinical
Dermatopathology
DCMS MEMBER SINCE: 2011
Dr. Emeka Etufugh is a pathologist and
dermatopathologist with Greater Dallas
Pathology. He is the medical director
of LabCorp-Dallas and the director of
dermatopathology for LabCorp-Dallas and
Dianon pathology-Dallas. He earned a BS
in biomedical science from the City College
of New York and got his medical education
at New York University School of Medicine.
He completed his residency in anatomic
and clinical pathology at Baylor University
Medical Center and a fellowship in dermatopathology
at the University of Texas
Southwestern Medical Center. Dr Etufugh
is an elder in his church and in his free
time enjoys sports and the great outdoors.
A quote that inspires Dr. Etufugh is “To
serve the art of medicine as it should be
served, one must love his fellow man,” by
William Osler.
Calvin Lee Dixon, MD,
FACP, FCCP
SPECIALTY: Pulmonology
DCMS MEMBER SINCE: 1984
Dr. Calvin Lee Dixon grew up in Fort
Worth, Texas. He attended UT Southwestern
in the early 1970s. While Dixon
attended college at the University of
Chicago, a mentor suggested he pursue
a medical degree for its versatility. “You
can do research, teach, be employed, or
be in private practice for yourself,” he
says. “Each I have done in my career as a
pulmonologist. I have learned that developing
patience one will be rewarded with
maturity and hope. I think Isaiah 40:31
sums it up best, ‘But those who hope in
the Lord will renew their strength. They will
soar on wings like eagles; they will run and
not grow weary; they will walk and not be
faint.’”
Tolulope Bakare, MD
SPECIALTY: Urology/Male infertility
DCMS MEMBER SINCE: 2020
Dr. Tolulope Bakare completed her
medical degree at the Penn State College
of Medicine, followed by a residency in
urology at the University of Arkansas for
Medical Sciences. She received advanced
training in male infertility, andrology, men’s
health, and microsurgery through a fellowship
at the University of Illinois College of
Medicine in Chicago. Dr. Bakare’s favorite
inspirational quote is “If your dreams don’t
scare you, they are not big enough,” by Ellen
Johnson Sirleaf.
Olayinka Ogunro, MD
SPECIALTY: Orthopedic Surgery
DCMS MEMBER SINCE: 1978
Dr. Olayinka Ogunro is the founding partner
of Ogunro Hand to Shoulder Center.
He has been an active DCMS member and
in practice in the DFW area for 43 years.
Dr. Ogunro’s favorite inspirational quote
is “The work never ends.” He adds, “As a
physician, we are always striving to further
our skill set and knowledge to better take
care of our patients.”
