Big and Bright
The physicians of the Carrell Clinic are pleased to announce the establishment of the Carrell Clinic Foundation. This
public, nonprofit charity with independent governance will foster musculoskeletal charity care, education, research and
patient advocacy. The clinic was founded in 1921 by Dr. W.B. Carrell, who was also instrumental in the establishment of
the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. As the 100th anniversary of the Carrell Clinic nears, the Foundation will allow us to build
on our legacy of service to North Texas.
Today, the Carrell Clinic is comprised of 20 fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons with a wide array of expertise. Our
physicians offer innovative care in general orthopedics and sports medicine. Our subspecialties include pediatric
orthopedics, sports medicine, shoulder/elbow, hip/knee, foot/ankle and spine. Our Sports Medicine Department serves
many professional, collegiate, high school and recreational athletes. Our clinic offers a full complement of imaging
modalities, durable medical equipment and physical therapy services. Our main campus also includes the North Central
Surgical Hospital, winner of numerous awards for excellence. Surgical services include fracture care, arthroscopy, total
joint replacement, spine surgery, computer-assisted surgery and, soon, a robotic surgery department.
As North Texas continues to grow, so do we. The clinic has opened a new office at The Star Medical Complex in Frisco.
Finally, we want to thank our patients, the medical community and the Dallas County Medical Society for your trust over
the past 100 years, and we look forward to serving you in the future. DMJ
